Facial
plastic surgery makes it possible to correct many facial flaws and signs
of premature aging that can undermine self-confidence.
Our surgical
staff has been specially trained to deal with the common concerns of patients
with facial aging as well as reconstructive procedures of the head and
neck area.
Successful
facial plastic surgery is a result of good rapport between patient and
surgeon. Trust, based on realistic expectations and exacting medical expertise,
develops in the consulting stages before surgery. Your surgeon can answer
specific questions about your specific needs.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty removes the excess fat, muscles, and skin from both upper
and lower lids. The result can be a refreshed appearance, with a younger,
firmer eye area. Whether the surgery is desired for functional or cosmetic
reasons, your choice of a qualified facial plastic surgeon of paramount
importance. After a mutual decision is made by both you and your surgeon,
the technique indicated for your individual surgery will be discussed.
The type of anesthesia, the surgical facility, any supportive surgery,
and the risks and costs inherent in the procedure will be outlined.

Botox
Botox is an injectable solution that helps in reducing the wrinkles between
the eyebrows, crowsfeet and the horizontal lines of the forehead.
It works
by blocking the nerve impulse to the muscle, which results in a relaxation
of the skin overlapping the muscle. The wrinkles of the skin gradually
soften and in many cases completely disappear.

Collagen
Injections
Collagen injections involve placement of bovine collagen into areas of
wrinkles around the lips, forehead, eyes, and cheeks. This can help to
fill in defects that cannot be totally removed with other techniques.
This filler lasts for 4-6 months and may be repeated as often as desired.
Because the collagen is obtained from an animal source it requires skin
testing before use.

Plastic Surgery of the Ears (Otoplasty)
The most common cosmetic problem that people have with their ears is that
they protrude. Otoplasty is the name given to the operation designed to
"pin back" the ears and to change their shape and contour. Otoplasty
is performed through incisions along the back of the ear to expose the
cartilage, which is then manipulated appropiately to achieve the desired
results. The operation can be performed in a hospital, an ambulatory surgical
care center or an office surgery center depending on preference.

Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)
Rhytidectomy removes the excess fat, muscle, and skin from both sides
of the face and neck, by performing delicate, well hidden incisions in
the scalp and around both ears. The results are a rested, more youthful
appearance, with tightening of facial skin and musculature, and lessening
of facial lines. After the decision to proceed with a rhytidectomy is
made jointly by you and your
surgeon, the surgeon will describe the technique indicated, the type of
anesthesia, the surgical facility, any additional surgery, the pros and
cons to include possible complications, and costs of the procedure.
